@ At the end of July, Carolina Gomez pays us a visit to establish a framework for the next Animac Lleida.
 
@ To round out July, V. Pons and L. Miñarro invite us to the first screenings of their latest respective productions, Any de Gracia and the documentary Hollywood Talkies.

@ August kicks off with a congratulations to Escandalo Films, Eddie Saeta, and Versátil Cinema for their selection in the Venice Film Festival.

@ In the first week of August, J. L. Rebordinos gives us an advanced insight sotto voce about the 13 films with Catalan influence in San Sebastain FF.

@ Participation in Locarno. Europa Distribution, la Industry office, Open Doors and the films selections of A. Serra and J.L Guerin are eagerly awaited.

@ At Locarno we meet the festival director Olivier Père and plan future projects and work with André Sturm and Rachel Monteiro of the Cinema do Brasil.

@ Throughout the summer we have been working on applications for iPhone, iPad, and Android, using information from our database www.catalanfilmsdb.cat 

@ The summer heat does not stop us working from the bottom up and formulating our grants - in regard to the 30 September deadline.

@ On August 22 we welcome Helena Moreno Nuñez, the new Director of MEDIA Antena Catalunya.

The director has started filming in Romania his new project produced by Andergraun Films
'Serie B' by Nine Production, Tach Producciones, and Olwyn Films, and directed by Ricard Reguant, has begun filming in Barcelona.
Baditri S.L. is responsible for the national distribution.
A Contra Luz Films has started filming 'La Estrella'
Directed by debut director Alberto Aranda and starring Ingrid Rubio, Carmen Machi and Marc Clotet.

In Post-production

After six weeks of filming, 'Els nens salvatges'/'Wild Childs' enters the editing room
Directed by Patricia Ferreira and produced by Distinto Films, Áralan Films and TVC

World premiere of 'Mientras duermes'/'Sleep Tight' by Jaume Balagueró at the Fantastic Fest in Austin (Texas, USA)
The film will hit our screens on October 14th
'Midnight in Paris' has become the highest grossing Woody Allen film in the United States.
And the number of screenings has been increased.
'Dr. W' by Mago Production and Televisió de Catalunya has made it on to Argentina's public television.

Documentary 'Fortuny & the Magic Lantern' selected at Mediterranena Int'l Documentary (CMCA)
Directed by Claudio Zulian and produced by Acteon, Disseny HUB Barcelona and TVE in collaboration with TVC and ICIC
ESCAC will participate in the X Encuentro Internacional de Estudiantes del Cine at the San Sebastian Film Festival
With the short film "Alto Sauce", directed by Fernando Pomares.

Film Factory picks up 'Puzzled Love'
The film is a 13-part love story produced by Escandalo Films.

Meeting

Nine 9 Catalan projects have been selected for the Cartoon Forum, the co-production of the European Forum
It will be held in Poland (13-16 september)
You can now register your project for the VIII Encuentro Iberoamericano de Coproducción Cinematográfica
It is celebrated on the 4, 5, and 6 of March 2012, as part of the Guadalajara International Film Festival
