CF & TV Highlights in Tweets

@ On 17 October we took a trip to the Truffaut Theatre in Girona. There awaiting us was the Tapis Rouge delegation from Quebec.

@ Tono Folguera, Oriol Cortacans and Manu Benavente gave us an official presentation of the documentary film producers’ association PRODOCS. The plans for 2012 are now underway.
 
@ On 20 October, we attended the sneak preview of “I Want to be a Soldier”. CANONIGO films, accompanied by Danny Glover and Robert Englund, among others, was brimming with joy.
 
@ Taking advantage of its selection for the IDFA in Amsterdam, we drew up a roadmap for Homer Etminani’s documentary "Nació / Nation".
 
@ Hand in hand with Ventura Pons, we took part in the round table on Catalan cinema that was hosted by the Montpellier Mediterranean Film Festival.
 
@ Jean Michel Ausseil of the FIPA in Biarritz, accompanied by Paco Poch, paid us a visit to view and select television works.
 
@ As the month came to a close, we met with the Catalan animation producers’ association ANIMATS and established the strategic events for 2012.
 
@ Before All Saints’ Day, we got to see the final version of the Catalan Films & TV database application for iPad. It’s ready to be posted at the shop.

@ Congratulations to Luk Internacional for their agreement with Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

@ We’ve received more than 40 short films to take part in ShortCat 2012. The screening and selection process has begun.

@ And as we close this round of tweets, we must point out our interest in the future Catalan participation in Rotterdam, in both the Cinemart and the Rotterdam Lab.

Awards

Paula Ortiz's feature film 'De tu ventana a la mía'/'Chrysalis' was honoured at the Seminci in Valladolid.
Co-produced by Zentropa, Amapola Films and Oria Films, this film walked off with the Pilar Miró Award for Best New Director, as well as a Fripesci Special Jury Mention
And 'Terrats' / 'Rooftops' won the Audience Award in the Punto de Encuentro section at the Seminci in Valladolid.
This feature film is directed by Demian Sabini and produced by Moviement Films.
