CF&TV Newsletter: news from the Catalan film & TV industry

Supporting the Catalan audiovisual industry worldwide

An optimistic market

Along with the last MIPCOM came the pleasant surprise of excellent sales and the impact of the Catalan products that were presented there. In addition to the big audiovisual market is other news that makes for a sunny horizon. Indeed, the sale of Zip Films shares to the risk capital fund GC Corp, followed by an ambitious production plan, and the two consecutive months of premieres of Catalan productions, which have made their way to the box office (as is the of REC 2), all paint a more than optimistic picture. Our industry is as active as ever, increasing its participation at markets, festivals and coproduction meetings. In a word, the forecast for our audiovisual industry looks great for the rest of this year and the year to come.
