Hosted by Espagnolas en París and the Île de France Commission, with the support of audiovisual promotion agencies including Catalan Films & TV, the Small is Beautiful coproduction meeting for sector professionals took place on 15 June in Paris. This event featured the presentation of six finalist projects to potential French co-producers, sales agents and distributors. Access was limited and a specialised committee decided on the most appropriate and solid proposals.
Along these lines, all candidates must meet a number of prerequisites, which include that of having guaranteed funding for 20% of the project. Among the projects presented by the Catalan industry, the event committee selected the adaptation of the musical Killer by Guillem Clúa, which will be directed by filmmaker Ventura Pons (Els Films de la Rambla), and the feature film La por by Jordi Cadena (Oberon Cinematogràfica
