The Rotterdam Film Festival honours the production of the UPF's Creative Documentary Master's Programme

This year, the 39th celebration of the Rotterdam Film Festival has included a broad retrospective of Catalan productions in its Signals section. A long list of films that were developed and produced in collaboration with the Creative Documentary Master's Programme of the Pompeu Fabra University and the Continuing Education Institute (IDEC-UPF). Directly selected by the event's programmers, the line-up features names such as José Luis Guerín and Ricardo Íscar (lecturers in the programme), as well as new talents from the student body, including Isaki Lacuesta, Abel Roure, Carla Subirana and Ramon Berger.    

Along these lines, Rotterdam will be premiering Ricardo Íscar's new documentary, Danza a los espíritus / Dance to the Spirits, which was filmed in the jungle of Cameroon, and El exboxeador / The Former Boxer, by Víctor García, a reflective account of the life of the European boxing champion Santiago Rojas.
