In keeping with our annual tradition, Catalan Films & TV will be attending MIPTV, along with 44 Catalan companies that plan to take part in the market beneath the consortium's umbrella stand. The bulk of the Catalan companies participating in this television market are producers and distributors specialised in animation and documentary, two pioneer genres for Catalonia. Needless to say, other sector companies will also be attending the event. And many will additionally be taking part in MIPDoc, an exclusive documentary market held in Cannes just two days before MIPTV.
At this year's event, CF&TV has unified its space in a single reception area for participants and information, just alongside Televisió de Catalunya. In fact, this was no accident, as it is important for CF&TV to be located next to our national broadcaster, which has coproduced most of the programmes presented at the market and in many cases is even handling their international sales.
Another area will be accommodating Catalonia's animation companies under the newly created brand "Catalan Cartoons", which has forged itself as the insignia that will define Catalan products and companies in the animation sector from now on. With this initial implementation at MIPTV, the brand hopes to be well established by the MIPCOM event, which is also held in Cannes and moreover coincides with the MIPJunior market, where animation is an unquestionable focus.
As to productions, the market will be showcasing new projects this year, including the miniseries Ull per Ull / Eye for an Eye, produced by Rodar y Rodar, Les Veus de Pamano / The Voices of Pamano, produced by Diagonal TV and Mallerich Films Paco Poch and Connection, a Prodigius Cinema production. Coproduced by Televisió de Catalunya, all of these productions will be launched among the latest catalogue products of Bavaria Film, their international distributor, and presented on Monday 12 April at the Palais des Festivals, with the collaboration of Catalan Films & TV and Televisió de Catalunya.

For its part, Jordi Llompart's Aràbia / Arabia, an Òrbita Max production coproduced by Televisió de Catalunya, will also be presented by its international sales agent Explora Films. This documentary series, featuring three 52-minute episodes or a single 60-minute abridged episode, portrays the adventure of the first contemporary expedition of the Arabian Peninsula. What's more, the young production company MundoDoc will be launching its documentary, Surviving Guatemala.
