8 Catalan companies travelled to Rome for the CinemaSpagna Festival, where Catalan Films & TV organized a coproduction meeting for Catalan and Italian industries focusing on feature films. This meeting, held on 28 April, gave companies from both countries a chance to create bonds and get to know each other better.

The Catalan films screened at the festival enjoyed an outstanding audience attendance, both from the general public and media professionals. Some of the screenings included participation by their directors or leading cast members, as was the case with V.O.S. or Tres dies amb la família. This second film closed the program and was attended by its director, Mar Coll.

The aid the production companies received to travel there was the result of an agreement between Catalan Films & TV and the Ramon Llull Institute. It is worthy to note that important figures from Italian culture  attended the festival's closing gala ceremony, including the Councillor for cultural policies in the province of Roma, Cecilia D'Elia; the Cultural Councillor at the Spanish Embassy in Rome, Jorge Hevia; the Vice-chairwoman and director of the Roma Lazio Film Commission, Gabriella Galluzzi and Cristina Priarone; or the director of the Royal Spanish Academy in Rome, Enric Panés.

In addition, Catalan Films & TV introduced different Catalan productions to the Italian industry with a series of market screenings at the Farnese cinema.
