Catalan Films & TV is taking part in a co-production meeting in Paris for the Catalan and French industries19/05/2008
20th June is the chosen date for the Catalan audiovisual industry's first co-production meeting with France. The aim? To explore proposals for cooperation. In fact, this event is the prelude to a co-production promotion plan that has fixed its gaze on the regions of France and Mexico for the upcoming year.
The Commission du Film d'Ile-de-France will be taking part in the event, with the selected projects of fifteen producers. As to Catalonia, Catalan Films & TV has opened up participation through the leading film producers' associations, APIC, PAC and BA, which all form part of the consortium.
The co-production meeting is just one of the events offered within the framework of the first celebration of Différent!, a three-day festival held from 19th to 21nd June. Promoted by Agence France Press correspondent José María Riba and Javier Martín, a member of the Forum des Images, this festival aims to bring alternative film closer to French audiences.
