The consortium has organized a seminar with sector professionals
Anne Parent, the Director of the Clermont-Ferrand Market (http://www.clermont-filmfest.com/); Agustí Argelich, the Director of the Filmets Short Film Festival; Txema Muñoz, Director of the Kimuak programme and Mar Muro, the head of the Lolita Peliculitas distribution company, were the featured guests of the 13th March seminar hosted by Catalan Films & TV. The central focus of the event was the Clermont-Ferrand International Film Market, which is considered to be the leading showcase for short film distribution. Presiding over the symposium was Variety journalist Emilio Mayorga.
More than forty professionals, along with representatives from Barcelona's foremost film schools (ESCAC and CECC) attended the event, which explored aspects such as: the characteristics of an international market; the roles played by different agents and representatives; the materials to be presented and the life cycle of the short film as a product. Along these lines, the participants received an information package with a selection of the main festivals and the awards for short films, a list of the most important international markets, a summary of the last celebration of the Clermont-Ferrand Film Market, as well as an international press pack with the latest articles on the short film genre.
